Four Arrested For Selling Pre-registered SIM Cards

The Nigeria Communication Commission, NCC has arrested four men for their involvement in selling pre-registered SIM cards to the public in Jigawa state.

In his address to journalists, Salisu Abdu, Head of the NCC’s Enforcement Unit said over 70 of such SIM cards from various service providers, were recovered during a raid on Hakimi Street and New Market Street in Dutse.

He said the operation, which took security agents over two hours, was carried out following a tip-off of the illegal activities of SIM card dealers in the state.

Abdu added that the suspects have already been handed over to security agents for further investigation.
