Four Die In Plateau Cult Clash

Four persons have died in a clash between two rival cult groups near a nightclub in the Kwata Zawan Community, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Terna Tyopev, confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria in Jos on Thursday.

He said the incident occurred on Wednesday night.

“Yesterday (Wednesday) around 7.30 pm, we received a distress call that unknown cult groups armed with cutlasses, axes and guns attacked one another near a night club at Kwata Zawan in Jos South.
 
“As a result, four persons lost their lives and their bodies have been deposited in the mortuary of the Plateau Specialist Hospital for autopsy,” he said.
 
Tyopev said the Commissioner of Police in the State, Austin Agbonlahor, had ordered immediate investigation into the case.
