A report says fresh xenophobic attack has broken in Durban, South Africa. According to Sowetan Live, the latest incident was spurred by allegations of kidnappings against immigrants, which so far has been mere rumour. It was also said that the unrest has spread to Chesterville while shops in KwaMashu were being looted. Riot police are said to have used stun grenades and rubber bullets to disperse the protesters while detaining two men. It was also said the unrest has escalated into running battles between police and protesters in the township.
