Real Madrid and Belgian forward, Eden Hazard, has been named the 2018/19 UEFA Europa League Player of the Season.
Hazard was announced during the UEFA Europa League group stage draw in Monaco on Friday.
He beat off competition from former Chelsea club-mate, Olivier Giroud and Luka Jović, now his team-mate at Real Madrid, to win the third edition of the award.
The 28-year-old was man of the match as Chelsea beat Arsenal 4-1 in the final in Baku in May.
He set up Chelsea’s second goal, and scored the third and fourth before sealing a move to Real.
The former Lille star scored 21 goals in all competitions, and provided 17 assists for Chelsea in his final season, which earned him the club’s Player of the Season.
