Shehu Sani, senator who represented Kaduna Central in the eighth assembly, has promised to return to politics in 2023.
Sani, a rights activist, said this in his residence In Kaduna on Wednesday, after he was presented with an award of excellence for his outstanding performance and generousity to humanity by Sabon Garin Nasarawa Elders’ Forum in the state capital.
The politician, who is also a lawyer, lost his senatorial seat to Uba Sani, a close associate of state governor, Nasir El Rufai, in the 2019 election.
“We are not done yet with politics, and we shall return”. We have no fear for anything and nothing we scare us from contesting in 2023. When our people want us to return, we shall return,” he was quoted as saying.
He also said the award given to him was a testament to his stewardship and quality of representation during his time in the last national assembly.
