Imo Ministerial Nominee Urges FG To Declare State Of Emergency On Education

Former Vice Chancellor of Imo State University, Prof. Anwuka Anthony, who is an Imo state ministerial nominee has urged the Federal government to declare a state of emergency in the education sector. He said this while answering questions from senators during the screening of ministerial nominees on Wednesday.

“Government must take a critical look into the educational sector because the sector is facing several challenges ranging from infrastructure to policies and these are not encouraging the educational development.

“There is no link between the school system and what the students want to learn and this has caused disconnection in the industry,” he said.
