Judge Fumes Over Crowded Courtroom As Saraki, Ekweremadu’s Trial Gets Underway

By Ibrahim Umar

Justice Yusuf Haliru was reportedly displeased to meet a crowded courtroom anxious to see the arraignment for forgery of Senate President Bukola Saraki and his deputy Ike Ekweremadu. Other accused are Abubakar Maikasuwa, Benedict Efeturi, former and serving clerks of the National Assembly. About 30 senators flooded the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court, Abuja, venue of the sitting, in solidarity with their leaders.
