Yahaya Bello, Governor of Kogi State, has obtained the expression of interest and governorship nomination forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in a bid to return to the Lugard House, Lokoja, for a second term.
Governor Bello, in the company of a large number of supporters, picked up his forms at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja on Wednesday.
The governor was received at the secretariat by Abubakar Kyari, APC Director of Organisation.
Following the scheduling of the Kogi State governorship election for November 16 by the Independent National Electoral Commission, the APC on Tuesday announced that it had commenced the sale of forms for aspirants seeking to get the sole ticket of the party.
Governor Bello had earlier in the year expressed his desire to seek a second term, saying “no tenant could chase a landlord out of his house.”
