Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen was on target for Lille in their 2-0 home win against Strasbourg in the French Ligue on Wednesday night.
Osimhen scored in the 43rd minute, to open scoring for Lille before former Chelsea forward, Loic Remy, made it 2-0 on 64 minutes.
It was Osimhen’s second goal in his last four games for Lille this season.
He has now taken his Ligue 1 goal tally for the season to six, tied on the same number of goals with Lyon’s Moussa Dembele.
Lille are now third on 13 points in the league table, just two points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain.
In another Ligue 1 game played on Wednesday night, another Super Eagles player, Samuel Kalu, scored for Bordeaux in their 3-1 away win against Amiens.
Kalu scored Bordeaux’s third goal in the 73rd minute, to register his first goal of the season.
With the win, Bordeaux now occupy fifth position on 12 points.
And league champions, Paris Saint-Germain, surprisingly lost 2-0 at home to Reims.
It was their second league defeat of the season.
Hassane Kamara (29th minute) and Boulaye Dia (90th minute) were the scorers for Reims.
