Liverpool Defeat Manchester City, Extend Lead At The Top

Liverpool stretch their lead on title rivals Manchester City to eight points following their 3-1 win in their Premier League clash at Anfield on Sunday.
Fabinho, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane were on target for Liverpool while Bernardo Silva scored for City.
The win took Liverpool’s point to 34 with City dropping to fourth position on 25 points.
Liverpool got off to a good start on six minutes following a stunning 25 yards strike from Fabinho which flew past Bravo.
There were calls for a handball against Trent Alexander-Arnold from City players but referee Michael Oliver waved play on.
Liverpool doubled their in the 13th minute as a perfectly weighted cross from Andrew Robertson was met by Salah to head beyond Bravo.
City’s biggest chance of the game went to Angelino who wriggled his way into the Liverpool box but saw his outside foot effort clip the post.
Just six minutes into the second half Liverpool went 3-0 up as Jordan Henderson picked out Mane, whose header hit Bravo and bounced in off the post.
City pulled a goal back on 78 minutes as
Angelino’s diverted cross fell kindly to Silva who drilled a low left-foot drive into the back of the net.
