A 35-year-old man, Christian Alisigwe, from Ihite Azia, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, has been arrested for allegedly killing his four-year-old son, Ebubechukwu.
A statement by Mohammed Haruna, spokesperson of the police command, said police operatives attached to Azia police station, on July 9, arrested Alisigwe, who used a cutlass to kill his biological son, and buried the corpse in a shallow grave in the family compound.
Haruna further stated that detectives visited the scene, exhumed the corpse, and deposited it at Abam mortuary for autopsy, after it was certified dead by a medical doctor.

According to him, the case has been transferred to the State CID, Awka, for discreet investigation.
