Man Dies While Testing Bulletproof Charm

A man, Aliyu Yahuza, has died after he was testing a bulletproof charm in Katsina state. The 27-year-old man was said to have been given a concoction to drink to protect him from gunshot by a native doctor, Usman Saidu.

However, he died after he was shot in the chest with a dane gun by Saidu.

Saidu has been charged with criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide. The 42-year-old will be in the prison custody till February 22, 2018 when his case would come up for mention before a senior magistrate, Hajiya Falila Dikko.

The police prosecutor, Inspector Sani Ado, who read the First Information Report on the incident in court on Tuesday, said Yahuza was taken to the General Hospital, Dustinma, where he was confirmed dead by doctors.
