Man Gets Bail For Knife Crime

A man, Bashiru Abubakar has been granted bail by Sule Amizat, the presiding magistrate at an Ikeja Magistrate Court after he was arraigned for alleged assault. The defendant was said to have stabbed one Faruku Mohammed with a “long knife” in his two legs.

Police prosecutor, Benson Emuehi told the court that the defendant committed the offence on April 4, 2018 at Ikeja area of Lagos state. He said the offence contravened and punishable under Section 712, 173 of the Criminal Law of Lagos state.

The case was adjourned till June 18, 2018 for mention.
