Man Remanded For Stealing Phone

An Ogba Magistrates’ Court sitting in Lagos has remanded 20-year-old Adeoye Hassan, for allegedly stealing an Infinix Hot 4 phone.

The prosecuting officer, Unah Mike, said the accused  alongside others at large, conspired to steal from unsuspecting members of the public.

Mike said the stolen phone valued at N35,300 belonged to  one Lydia Joseph.

He said the offence contravenes and is punishable under Sections 411 and 287 of Criminal Law of Lagos State, Nigeria, 2015.

The defendant pleaded guilty to the two-count charge preferred against him.

S Abinmo, the presiding magistrate, ordered that Hassan be remanded in prison for six months.
