Man Trapped In Collapsed Lagos Building Rescued

An unidentified man who got trapped after a three-storey building under construction collapsed at Ago Palace Way in the Okota area of Lagos State on Friday has been rescued.

The victim was evacuated out of the rubble by emergency officials and was administered first aid by medical personnel on ground at the scene before he was taken to an undisclosed hospital.

Oluwafemi Oke-Osanyintolu, Director-General of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), who confirmed the incident in a statement, said the impact of the collapse has affected some adjacent buildings around the scene of the incident.

He stated that the remaining parts of the collapsed building would undergo a controlled demolition exercise once the recovery operation is completed.
