Mechanic Steals Police Officer’s Car

The police from Maitumbi Division in Minna, Niger state have arrested a mechanic, Joshua Simeon, for allegedly stealing a Toyota Carina 2 with registration number AP 270 ZAR, belonging to Surajo Garba, a police officer. 
Simeon was said to have made away with the car while Garba was deeply asleep. When he woke up, he alerted the police operatives who swung into action to ensure he was arrested.
The 37-year-old suspect, who has a master key he uses to open any car, said he stole the car to enable him pay his children’s school fees.
“I don’t know what I am going to tell my wife and children. I am ruined and my marriage is in trouble. I hope they will find a place in their hearts to forgive me, It is the worst thing that has ever happened to me,” Simeon said.
Muhammad Abubakar, Public Relations Officer of the command, confirmed the incident, saying the suspect was arrested behind Maitumbi primary school, Minna. He said the matter would be charged to court after due investigations.
