Several world class athletes with Nigerian roots, either representing the country, or flying the flag of their adopted nations, have put their names in record books.
However, one of the few areas in sport that no Nigerian has ventured into is entertainment wrestling, known as World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), until recently, with the coming of Babatunde Aiyegbusi.
Babatunde was born in Oleśnica, Wrocław, Poland, to a Nigerian father and a Polish mother, the 31-year old stands at 6feet 10 inches tall.
Aiyegbusi is currently signed by the WWE and trained by the WWE Performance Centre, Florida.
He prefers to be called Babatunde in the ring, and he has shown his respect and loyalty to Nigeria, by hanging a Nigerian flag to his tag.
He also comes to the stage wearing the Yoruba ‘Agbada’ outfit.
Babatunde faced WWE superstar, Braun Strowman, who however, eliminated him during a Royal Rumble march this year.
