Dino Melaye, Senator representing Kogi West, has rejected his appointment as Director-General of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship campaign in Kogi State.
Kola Ologbondiyan, PDP spokesman, had announced that the party appointed Melaye to lead its campaign to displace the APC government in Kogi.
But on Friday, Melaye who participated in the PDP governorship primary but came a distant fourth with just 70 votes, said he was not interested in the appointment.
“Let me state categorically that I have turned down the position of Director-General of the PDP Kogi State Governorship Campaign Council,” he wrote.
“I wish PDP all the best. When truth is a casualty there is chaos.”
