Mother, Daughter Attacked By Hoodlums In Ibadan

A woman and her daughter have been attacked by hoodlums in the residence in Alaja, Moniya, Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State, on Monday.

The woman, 45-year-old Adeola Bamidele and her daughter, 23-year-old Dolapo, were asleep when the hoodlums struck around 1am. They sustained machete cuts on their heads in the incident.

The hoodlums made away with two telephones. An attempt to break into a neighbour’s house failed as they could not gain entry into the building.

Adeola explained that she was attacked with a machete, while trying to rescue her daughter, who had already collapsed and was soaked in blood.

The Punch reports that the Alaja Community Landlords’ Association had reported the incident at the Moniya Police Division.

Olugbenga Fadeyi, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, said investigation has since commenced into the matter.
