NCDC Confirms 276 New COVID-19 Cases As Nigeria’s Toll Rises To 8,344

A total of 276 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has been confirmed in Nigeria, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed late Tuesday.

In a post on its Twitter handle, the centre said 161 of the cases were recorded in Lagos State, 36 in Rivers State, 27 in Edo State, 19 in Kaduna State, 10 in Nasarawa State, six in Oyo State and four in Kano State.

Three cases were recorded in Delta and Ebonyi states, two in Gombe State and one in Ogun, Ondo, Borno, Abia and Bauchi states.

Seven new deaths were also reported, bringing the total number of COVID-19 related fatalities to 249.

This latest figure brings the number of confirmed Coronavirus cases in Nigeria to 8,344, with the virus spreading to 34 states and the FCT.
