NCDC Confirms 304 New COVID-19 Cases, Nigeria’s Toll Now 43,841

A total of 304 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has been confirmed in Nigeria, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed late Sunday.

In a post on its Twitter handle, the centre said 81 of the cases were recorded in Lagos State, 39 in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), 24 in Kaduna State, 23 in Rivers State, 16 in Plateau State and 13 in Cross River State.

Twelve cases each were recorded in Ebonyi and Ondo states, 11 cases each in Ekiti and Ondo states, 10 cases each in Benue and Nasarawa states, six in Ogun State and five in Gombe State.

Five new deaths were also reported, bringing the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 888.

These latest cases bring the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Nigeria to 43,841, with the virus spreading to all 36 states and the FCT.

Below is a breakdown of the confirmed cases in the various states, according to the NCDC.
