NCDC Confirms 453 New COVID-19 Cases, Nigeria’s Toll Now 46,140

A total of 453 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has been confirmed in the country, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed late Saturday.

In a post on its Twitter handle, the centre said 75 of the cases were recorded in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), 71 in Lagos State, 53 in Benue State, 39 in Delta State, 30 in Borno State, 25 in Enugu State, 24 in Plateau State, 20 in Osun State, 19 in Abia State and 17 in Oyo State.

Kaduna State recorded 16 cases, 13 each in Kano and Ebonyi states, nine in Ogun State, seven in Kwara State, six in Ondo State, three in Gombe State, two in Ekiti State and one in Akwa Ibom and Rivers states respectively.

Six new deaths were also reported, bringing the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 942.

These latest cases bring the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Nigeria to 46,140, with the virus spreading to all 36 states and the FCT.

Below is a breakdown of the confirmed cases in the various states, according to the NCDC.
