Neymar Won’t Play Until His Future Is Sorted – Tuchel

Thomas Tuchel, coach of Paris Saint-Germain, has said Neymar will not be available for selection, until his future is resolved.
Tuchel said the Brazilian will not play, even if he is fit.
The 27-year-old did not play in any of the club’s pre-season games amid speculation linking him with Real Madrid and a return to Barcelona.
Tuchel, speaking at a pre-match news conference on Saturday ahead of Sunday’s Ligue 1 clash at home to Toulouse, clarified the situation surrounding Neymar.
“Neymar is in better shape. He has had a good week with his teammates, working hard with intensity and a good mentality,” he said.
“However, the club’s position is clear: while his situation is unclear, he cannot play. If Neymar’s situation became clear tomorrow, then he could play.”
According to ESPN, Barcelona are considering adding Ousmane Dembele in a potential offer for the Brazilian, while the Ligue 1 champions are looking to put a deadline on the €222 million target, after allegedly rejecting a €190 million offer from Barcelona.

Tuchel admitted that the uncertainty surrounding Neymar is not easy to deal with, comparing it to the injury the former Santos’ player sustained last season.
“Yes, the Neymar situation is unsettling, but it also is not,” he added.
“Yes, because we talk about it a lot. A player like him always stirs up interest in today’s football.
“However, everyone is used to this sort of thing, like when Neymar was injured. Every press conference before and after matches was about him. It is not the best situation for a club, though, that is clear. It does not help.”
Tuchel confirmed that he would be without injured trio of Julian Draxler, Thilo Kehrer and Ander Herrera for the game.
