Shehu Sani, a former senator representing Kaduna Central, has mocked the Nigeria Police, saying they also need protection against kidnappers.
His reaction comes after Musa Rabo, the Police Area Commander and an Assistant Commissioner in Niger State, was abducted in Kaduna on Saturday.
However, police claimed that he was rescued unhurt hours later, with two suspects arrested.
Reacting to the incident on Twitter on Monday, Sani said:
“Our Cops too needs protection against kidnappers.”
Kidnapping has been on the rise recently in Nigeria. Many Nigerians families have paid millions in ransom for their relatives, with many even being killed despite their kidnappers collecting ransom.
