Isaac Forson says he is not guilty for biting off his girlfriend’s nose in a fit of anger. Forson told a court hearing an assault charge against him. The angry boyfriend was reported to have accused his unnamed girlfriend of being mysteriously behind his problems. On the day of the incident, the girlfriend was said to have visited her friend, also a tenant in the building her boyfriend stays. Angered, Forson went after her and seized the chair she sat on from under her buttocks and hit her many times with it. Unsatisfied, he began to hit her with his fist and eventually bit off her nose. During his arraignment, Police prosecutor Grace Bandoh said the chair Forson hit his girlfriend with broke into pieces and that the lady had to be rushed to a hospital due to her injury. The matter was heard at the Accra Circuit Court, in Ghana. The Presiding Magistrate Mrs Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku granted Forson GH¢ 3,000 bail with two sureties, before adjourning the matter to May 3 for further hearing. Meanwhile she ordered that Forson be kept in police custody.
