A four-man gang has shot dead Rawlings Osagie, an official of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Edo Command. Osagie was killed at the entrance of his home at Ugbor area of Benin late Monday evening.
NAN said Osagie had just returned home from work.
Aghatise Osagie, the deceased younger brother, told the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, that Rawlings was shot in the stomach and, later, died at a hospital.
He died on the rank of an assistant superintendent.
The killing of the NSCDC operative followed a similar one in Ekiti, in which an official Sunday Afolabi was killed and his rifle stolen. Afolabi was killed along Afao Road.
