Four workers of the Akure South Local Government Council’s cemetery have been arrested with five human heads.
The Ondo State Police Command confirmed their arrest on Monday.
The suspects are: Adewale Abiodun, 40; Akinola Sunday, 69; Oluwadare Idowu, 67; and one Olomofe, 45.
They were caught while trying to exhume a newly-buried corpse in the cemetery with the intention of beheading it. Unknown to the men, the family of the deceased returned to the site of the burial to make arrangements on covering the grave with concrete.

It was during the visit they caught the suspects exhuming the corpse. They later found five heads in their possession.
Men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad were invited to the scene.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Tee-Leo Ikoro, said investigation had commenced into the case, adding that other members of the syndicate would soon be apprehended.
