Hundreds of thousands of people are descending on West London for the hottest carnival in history.
The streets along the route are again awash with colour as party goers enjoy the long-standing celebration of Caribbean heritage in the capital.
Dancers decked out in feathers and bands carrying samba drums are already gathering in Notting Hill.
It filled Westbourne Park with its first music of the day as members warmed up ahead of the festivities.
A Brazilian dancing tradition, Jordan called it an “honour” and “a dream come true” to be leading the band at her fifth Notting Hill Carnival.
Almost 12,500 police officers and some 1,000 stewards will be in place across the two-day event to ensure a “safe and spectacular” festival.
