Police Demanded ‘Mobility Money’ Before Taking Up Rape Case – Sister Of Deceased UNIBEN Student

Sister of Vera Uwaila Omozuwa, the University of Benin student raped and murdered in a church, has accused the police of demanding ‘mobility money’ before taking up the case.

She also alleged that the policemen at the station insulted her dad and disrespected her late sister by asking if hers was the first of such case.

She said this after reportedly leading a protest of some youths to the Edo State Police Headquarters.

The protesters were met by Ayoola Ajala, the state Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of operations.
