Police Deny Detaining Pro-Biafra Protesters In Anambra

The Anambra State Police Command has denied reports that pro-Biafra supporters and supporters of Radio Biafra director, Nnamdi Kanu are being held for their protests, which crippled activities on the Onitsha/Enugu expressway on 20 October. The spokesman for the command, Ali Okechukwu said the arrested people, 13 females and four males, were only cautioned and released by the Commissioner of Police, Hosea Karma. He also said that nobody was shot or harmed during the protests.
