Police Teargas Anti-Buhari Protesters

Police in Abuja have fired tear gas canisters at protesters demanding President Muhammadu Buhari’s return from the United Kingdom where he has gone on a medical leave. One person was injured in the incident and has been taken to the Federal Secretariat complex’s clinic.

The protesters were observing a sit-out at the Millennium Park opposite the Unity Fountain, Maitama, Abuja before the incident happened. The incident was however undeterred as the meeting continued for about an hour.
