Manchester United were forced to a 1-1 draw by 10-man Southampton in Saturday’s Premier League early kick-off at the St. Mary’s.
Summer signing, Daniel James, gave United the lead to register his third Premier League goal of the season in the 10th minute, with a superb curler into the top corner after cutting in from the left.
But Danish centre-back, Jannik Vestergaard, rose above Victor Lindelof to head the hosts level in the 58th minute, moments after David de Gea had saved Danny Ings’ goal-bound header.
Southampton were reduced to 10 men in the 73rd minute, after Kevin Danso was shown a second yellow card for a nasty challenge on Scott McTominay.
United have now failed to win their last three league matches. They lost 2-1 to Crystal Palace at home last weekend.
