French giants, Paris Saint-Germain, will reportedly make a last minute bid for Tottenham Hotspur’s midfielder, Christian Eriksen, with two days left before the summer transfer window closes on September 2.
The 27-year-old’s contract expires at the club next season, and has refused to sign a new contract at the White Hart Lane. Speculations have surrounded the Danish international all through the summer, with Spurs clinging on to their creative asset.
Eriksen was previously linked with a move to Real Madrid, which didn’t work out earlier this window, with some fans of the North London club hoping it would prompt him to sign a new contract.
But according to Le Parisien, the Ligue 1 giants are weighing up a bid for the former Ajax captain, with Neymar likely to re-join Barcelona.
Coach Mauricio Pochettino left Eriksen out of the club’s trip to Manchester City two weeks ago in the Premier League, coupled with two substitute appearances in the club’s two other league matches.
Eriksen disclosed his intention to leave the club after last season, in the wake of their Champions League final defeat to Liverpool in Madrid.
