The Queen of England has approved the request of United Kingdom Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, to suspend Parliament.
Johnson put the request before Her Majesty on Tuesday, a move which attracted wide condemnation from opposition parties and high profile Britons.
It comes as members of parliament are set to return back to work.
The Queen is said to have formally approved the government’s order, with her speech and prorogation of Parliament set to come up in the second week of September, when the suspension takes effect.
The Mirror said the Queen approved the request at Balmoral, where she is enjoying her summer holiday.
It now means that Conservative Party rebels and the opposition face race against time to stop a no-deal Brexit.
