Retired US Soldier’s Abductors Demand N20m Ransom

The abductors of Major Jide Ijadare, a retired United States Army officer, have demanded N20 million as ransom.

Ijadare was kidnapped from his palm oil factory along Ijan Ekiti–Ise Ekiti Road in Ijan Ekiti in the Gbonyin Council area of Ekiti State on Tuesday.

Sunday Abutu, the Police Public Relations Officer, Ekiti Command, however, said the command was not aware of any ransom being demanded by the abductors. He added that policemen have been deployed to the factory and its surrounding forests.
