Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, has said that he plans to bring back retired goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama. The Lille of France goalie had resigned from international duties following a rift with former Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh Rohr said he has had a discussion with the player and is certain he will return.
“I have personally called him and I think we will need him after this weekend’s match. I am working to have all our players available for subsequent matches,” he said.
Rohr also said he was pleased with the quality of players available to him in the team. He praised the local league players who had gone to Spain for an invitational tournament saying he had penciled down two of them for the national team. He also vowed to make sure there was discipline in the team. Rohr said he was willing to live in the country but the Nigeria Football Federation were yet to get him a hotel.
On qualification for Russia 2018, Rohr insisted that a ticket could not be guaranteed but the task of qualifying was achievable with hard work and commitment from all stakeholders. He submitted that despite the tough group Nigeria is in, the country has enough quality to qualify from the group.
