The Super Falcons of Nigeria have moved two places up from 38th to 36th in the latest FIFA Women’s ranking.
The ranking, which was published on FIFA’s official website, was released on Friday.
On the continent, the reigning African champions, who got to the round of 16 at the just concluded FIFA Women’s World Cup, remain number one.
Cameroon who featured at the World Cup, are Africa’s biggest movers as they climbed up five places from the 46th spot to 41st.
And World Cup debutants South Africa, remain at number 49.
World champions USA remain at number one, Germany are at number two, runner-up at the World Cup Netherlands occupy number three, in fourth place is France and England at number five.
At sixth position is Sweden, Canada occupy seven, while Australia, North Korea and Brazil are eight, ninth and 10th respectively
