Suspected Herdsmen Attack Orphanage In Delta

Men suspected to be Fulani herdsmen on Monday attacked the Great Saints Orphanage in Issele-Uku, Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State.

Parts of the building and cars parked in the premises were said to have been damaged in attack, which occurred in the early hours of the morning.

Emeka Ezeagbor, the founder, bemoaned the attack, saying it was shocking that such a facility could have been targeted.

Onome Onovwakpoyeya, the spokesman of the police command in the state, said he had been briefed about the incident but had to speak with the Divisional Police Officer of Issele-Uku, as well as speak with the Commissioner of Police,  before making details public.
