Swiss-based Nigerian Arrested For ‘Marrying’ 14 Women

A Nigerian, Christopher Ehifor, who is based in Switzerland, has reportedly been arrested for deceiving 14 women into marrying him.

The accused, who is said to hail from Uromi, Edo State, was arrested in Pratteln, Switzerland, where he is married to a white lady simply identified as Tanja.

One Barrister Kingsley Ughe, who shared the information on the social media, said Ehifor conducted marriage ceremonies with three ladies in Delta, Lagos and Benin within one year. He also said the suspect has married more than 10 to 12 women in Nigeria, in elaborate wedding over the past 10 years.

Ugbe noted that one of Ehifor’s victims from Edo, defied his instruction not to publish their wedding photos on social media. She was said to have gone ahead to publish the photos on Facebook, tagging him on the platform.

His Swiss wife got to know of the development and contacted the authorities, who arrested him for criminal deceit, advanced fee fraud and bigomy.

The lawyer also revealed that a petition has been forwarded to the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), and that a lawsuit has been filed against Christopher.

He further claimed that about 14 women have agreed to identify Ehifor as their husband, with evidences to back it up.
