Emmanuel Bwacha, Senator representing Taraba South district, has distributed 34 cars to traditional rulers in his constituency.
The vehicles were distributed during a ceremony in Wukari, which was attended by the royal fathers, according to Daily Trust.
The newspaper said the brand of cars include Toyota highlanders.
Bwacha said he provided the vehicles to the royal fathers out of the respect and recognition he has for traditional institutions.
He commended them for the role they play in promoting peace and unity among the people in their respective domains.
Meanwhile, Bala Danabu, the senior special assistant on Media and publicity to Governor Ishiaku Darius, has denied reports on social media, that the governor had instructed the royal fathers not to collect the cars.
Danabu said such story was fake, and that his boss never gave such instruction to the royal fathers.
