A teenage girl, simply identified as Umi, was arrested on Saturday night, after she allegedly stabbed her 30-year-old brother, Suleiman, to death in Kano
The incident reportedly occurred in Nassarawa Local Government Area of the state, after she had a squabble with the brother.
The Badawa Police Division then took her into custody shortly after she committed the act.
DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the Kano State Police Command spokesperson, who confirmed the incident, said it received a report at about 5:pm through its Badawa Divisional office, that Umi had stabbed her elder brother on the neck.
According to Kiyawa, it was learnt that the suspect, who had engaged in a heated argument with her brother for two days, stabbed Suleiman, resulting to his death, shortly after he was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The Ward Head of Unguwan Gaya Badawa, Haliru Mohammed, in his reaction revealed that parents of the accused and the victim lost consciousness when they received the news.
According to him, they are currently receiving treatment at a nearby hospital.
