Teenager Loses Both Hands After Step Mum Accuses Him Of Sleeping With Her

Ovey Friday, a 13-year-old boy, has lost his two hands after his step mother maltreated him over accusation of having sex with her in her dreams.

The story was shared by Eche Amos, spokesperson of the Nasarawa State Ministry of Youths.

The woman was said to have taken the teenager to a native doctor, where hot coals were placed and tied around his hands to force him to confess. It consequently damaged the boy’s hands.

According to Amos, the victim, who is from Wulko Community, Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area, has undergone a successful operation at Cedar Crest Hospitals, Abuja.

His left hand was amputated below the elbow to save his life.

Ovey, whose biological mother is dead, and his father, a commercial motorcyclist in Lagos, was accused of witchcraft by his step-mother, who alleged that the teenager was always making love to her in her dreams; an allegation the boy reportedly denied repeatedly.

It was gathered that he was taken for exorcism, where his hands were tied together by a native doctor, who burned them.

The effect of the burns led to his left hand being amputated, while the right hand was permanently deformed, as it had degenerated into gangrene.

The ministry’s spokesperson also said all the suspects involved in the abominable act have been arrested by the Police, and will soon be charged to court for culpable homicide.

He also said efforts are ongoing to fix a prosthetic hand for the boy.

“This is an expensive task, but HUMANITY will always be first!!!,” Amos said.
