Teni Speaks After Losing BET ‘Best New International Act’ Award

BET-nominated Nigerian singer, Teni Apata, has finally spoken after she lost the ‘Best New International Act’ award to South African Artist, Sho Mad Jazi.

The ‘Uyo Meyo’ singer was nominated alongside Sho Madjodzi from South Africa, Headie One and Octavian from the UK and France’s Jokair and Nesly for the Best new international act category.

In a tweet, she congratulated all the winners despite losing the award.

She also thanked and urged her fans to keep supporting her that even though she didn’t win now, she is confident of winning someday.  

we didn’t win the awards but we still won, to make it here and be amongst the greats was inspiring!! Congratulations to everyone. And thank you to everyone that keeps supporting me and my brand. One step at a time we will take this to the world,” she said. 

Also known as Teni Makanaki, the buxom singer has been making huge wave in the Nigeria music scene.

Recently, she released her new single, ‘Sugar Mummy’, which as been gaining audiences from fans and followers.
