By Temidayo Tiamiyu Fire outbreak has burnt three persons to death in Kano. The fire also burnt six vehicles along with a petrol station known as A. A. Rano. The tanker driver, one of the petrol attendants, identified as Mallam Ali, who was gauging the fuel level and the driver’s assistant, were reported to have died in the incident. The fire, which raged for about two and half hours, burnt six vehicles to ashes, while a building close to the filling station, known as Visa House, was also torched. The fuel tanker was reported to be discharging fuel into the filling station’s underground tank when it caught fire. “In the process of discharging petrol into the underground tank, there was a spark and the tanker caught fire. The inferno engulfed the entire petrol station and trapped the driver while others took to their heels. The man and two others were burnt to death,” a witness said. The firefighters from the CBN Fire Service, Mr. Lee Company, as well as the Kano State Fire Service, including fire fighters from supportive agencies battled the raging fire for two hours.
