Two Arraigned For Killing Petrol Attendant

Two persons have been arraigned before a Lagos High Court sitting at Ikeja, for allegedly killing Daramola Yemisi, a MEF Petrol station attendant at Iju Road, Ifako-Ijaiye area of Lagos state.

The suspects were said to have killed Yemisi while looting the filling station of the sum of N470, 000. They also robbed one Dayo Omotayo of the sum of N162, 000.

The suspects, Rufai Aliyu, 25, and Abdulrasak Bello, 22, were said to have tie the deceased’s neck, hands, mouth, and legs, causing breathing difficulties.

The prosecution led by C.K Tunji-Carrena, told the court that the defendants and others at large conspired among themselves to commit armed robbery. He said their offences contravene Sections 297, 295 and 221 of the Criminal law of Lagos State, 2011.

The suspects pleaded not guilty to the three-count charge of conspiracy armed robbery and murder leveled against them.

After hearing their plea, Justice Josephine Oyefeso adjourned the case till March 27, 2018 for trial.
