A young mother has died after her neck got wedged in the closing window of their family car, a BMW E34, in Belarus.
Yulia Sharko, who died on her 21st birthday, was trying to carry her two-year-old daughter from the vehicle through the half-open front seat window, when the child pressed the automatic switch closing the window, according to authorities.
The police say the window strangled the mother of two to death.
Her husband, Artur, was said to have found his wife unconscious soon after accident.

He broke the jammed window to release her and pulled her “lifeless body” from the car in the village of Staroe Selo.
The man, who was distraught, then called emergency services, who rushed her to the hospital.
Yulia died eight days after the tragic accident, due to asphyxia (a lack of oxygen or excess of carbon dioxide in the body), which led to brain damage.
“Her brain suffered irreversibly due to clamped arteries,” a local report said.
She did not regain consciousness after the incident, which happened on the day she was celebrating her birthday with friends.
Dmitry Ivanyuk from Belarus Investigative Committee, said: “The young woman was with her family at a friend’s house in the village of Staroe Selo.
“On 31 August around 4.30pm her husband found her unconscious, with her neck jammed by the window of the front left door of their family car.”
“She was taken to Brest regional hospital in a grave condition with signs of mechanical asphyxia and traumas.”
