One Olugbenga Bodunrin, a Uber driver, has claimed to be the one who carried the Italian coronavirus patient when he arrived at the Lagos airport on Wednesday.
In a tweet on Friday, Bodunrin said he had a friendly chat with the Italian and they shared a meal.
He was responding to a tweet by Guardian saying the government had started reaching out to those who had contact with the Italian.

Dr. Osagie Ehanire, Minister of Health, confirmed Nigeria’s first case of the Coronavirus disease, also known as COVID-19, in Lagos State.
Ehanire confirmed the case in a statement issued in the early hours of Friday.
According to the statement, the case involves an Italian citizen, who works in Nigeria and returned recently from Milan, Italy, to Lagos on February 25, 2020.
He was confirmed by the Virology Laboratory of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, part of the Laboratory Network of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
