The University of Ibadan, UI, has been shut over students protest. The students were said to have protested the suspension of a union leader by the institutions disciplinary committee.
The students also complained about lack of power and water that have reportedly made learning difficult for them. The Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Abel Olayinka, said there have been life-threatening acts and text messages from the protesting students. He directed all the students to vacate campus on Tuesday.
