The Imo State House of Assembly has banned any form of protest in the state.
The lawmakers said protests have become dangerous events in the state, and are exposing people to danger.
The lawmakers also issued a strong warning to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), asking the opposition to stop crying wolf over the ruling of the Supreme Court that sacked Emeka Ihedioha as governor.
They further passed a vote of confidence on the apex court and Hope Uzodinma, who took over from Ihedioha.
The PDP has been protesting the court judgement that nullified the election of Ihedioha, describing it as “miscarriage of justice.”
