VIDEO: ‘Take Me Home Instead Of Polluting My Spirit’, Says Policeman After Killing Colleague

Monday Gabriel, a police inspector, arrested for killing his colleague has told the law enforcement agency to “take him home” instead of polluting his spirit.

Gabriel was captured in a viral video making the plea while he was paraded at the headquarters of the Lagos State Police Command, Ikeja, on Sunday.

The embattled policeman is alleged to have shot sporadically leading to the death of Felix Okago, a sergeant, on Sunday.

Gabriel also stated that his spirit rejects pollution.

Explaining the circumstances behind the incident, Bala Elkana, the Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command, in a statement issued on Sunday said the inspector was transferred from Abuja to a Federal Government facility in the Ikoyi area of Lagos for a special assignment.

The police spokesperson stated that the police received a distressed call at around 4:30am, stating that Gabriel went beserk and embarked on a shooting spree.

He noted that Okago died from the gunshot wounds he sustained as a result of the incident.

Elkana said Gabriel was arrested while trying to escape through the third mainland bridge.
